The best halloween haunt experiences, we provide with this directory. More than one hundred of the best scare venues in the U.S. and beyond, with website links, descriptions, and history. And for 2020, a great many Halloween venue operators have created drive-through and largely contact-less attractions. For those of us that like to know we will not be touched, there is that achievement for this year.
For 2020, AEC’s The Horror Company has surveyed top Halloween attractions in the U.S., and has found that most of those attractions commonly ranked among the top 100 will operate this season. Our survey of such attractions outside the U.S. is now underway but it may be next season when our international directory is relatively complete. We compile this listing by looking through online guest reviews and our own visits during the season.
It is interesting to watch the evolution (and history) of the Halloween haunt industry from “mom and pop” to the beginnings of a multi-concept operator model. Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group (Denver) is the largest of such MCO’s at this time and we expect others join in this transition. Major consumer-facing facility operators are also big players in this industry, with theme parks, museums, zoos, and other such venues mounting major scare productions for the Halloween season. The best halloween haunt experiences are now offered from by numerous experienced operators in most regions of the U.S., and many overseas.
