On June 5, 2020, the California Department of Public Health released COVID-19 Industry Guidance for Hotels, Lodging, and Short-Term Rentals (overnight accommodations). We found the guidelines to be helpful given the the publication’s easy to reference format and the clear writing. The cleaning protocols to observe throughout an operating day are especially thorough.
These June 5 guidelines pertain to the next phase of economic reopening following the statewide shutdown order that required most Californians to stay at home to disrupt the spread of COVID-19 among the population. That shutdown order issued on March 19, 2020, was made by the State Public Health Officer and Director of the California Department of Public Health.
