As senior housing feasibility consultants, we work with clients involved with senior facilities including the venues that are part of “continuum of care” communities. These continuum-of-care communities for typically include independent living for seniors, assisted living, skilled nursing, and/or hospital care facilities.

Over the years Senior housing has evolved to include more options particularly for active older adults who may not consider themselves to be seniors. Active adult “senior communities” for those over the age of 55 have been well received by consumers, a housing product suited to adults interested in an active lifestyle environment. These independent (unassisted) projects typically include common areas conducive to active recreation including clubhouse venues to encourage gathering.
