Project master planning consultants and designers for planned communities, mixed-use real estate, and redevelopment programs. One of our specialties is in planning for large-scale landholdings where strategic land use matters and underlying regional economics are the foundation.
We are admirers of early initiatives in community development such as the government sponsored “greenbelt” communities developed as part of the Resettlement Administration under Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s administration. The federal program caused the creation of three greenbelt communities in the U.S.: Greendale (Wisconsin), Greenbelt (Maryland) and Greenhills (Ohio). The co-founder of our firm spent some of his youth in Greendale and has lived in Irvine, California; perhaps the most famous master-planned community to-date. As project master planning consultants, these early experiences have allowed us to draw “lessons learned” from such planned communities, even those aspects that were not intended.
